Navigating mental health concerns can be challenging, and it is often difficult to know where to start. With a warm, collaborative approach, I provide evidence-based assessment, intervention, and counselling services to children, adolescents, and their families.
I have worked in various roles associated with child and adolescent mental health concerns including as a behavioural specialist, mental health therapist, social skills coach, consultant, and currently a Registered Provisional Psychologist. Drawing upon experience across schools, group settings, private practice, and preschool mental health services, I support clients with a wide range of learning, social/emotional, behavioural, and mental health concerns through a neurodiversity-affirming lens.
Whether working with children, adolescents, and/or their families. I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Therapy is grounded in the belief that people thrive through connection and self-understanding, and I believe in the philosophy that each person is the expert on their own experience. Therefore, I work alongside clients to identify their strengths and vulnerabilities, foster connection, and to develop strategies that align with their unique goals and values.
My priority is to foster a therapeutic space filled with compassion, curiosity, and safety—where growth, laughter, and meaningful change are possible.
As a Registered Provisional Psychologist, Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, and Therapeutic Play Practitioner, I employ a flexible, client-centred approach, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), The Grief Recovery Method, mindfulness, and narrative therapy.
Play-based interventions, art therapy techniques, sand tray therapy, and social skill instruction are often incorporated to engage children and adolescents in a developmentally appropriate way. My therapeutic approach emphasizes building resilience, self-awareness, and empowerment, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and life experiences. Trauma-informed care and collaborative goal setting guide my work with individuals, parents, and families.
Child Therapy Specialization:
I have a special interest and passion in working with preschool and school-aged children (ages 3 – 12), as well as their families. With several years of experience supporting young clients with concerns such as anger, anxiety, autism, behavioural management and emotional regulation, depression, developmental delays, executive functioning difficulties, grief and loss, self-esteem and self confidence, as well as social skill deficits, I take a collaborative, family-centred approach to care. I work to identify treatment goals that reflect both parent concerns and the child’s voice. Parents are actively engaged in the therapeutic process through regular check-ins and supportive sessions, helping to create a home environment that reinforces progress and growth. Additionally, I offer parent consultation sessions to help parents and caregivers better understand their child’s needs and develop effective, values-aligned strategies.
Group Therapy Services:
Alongside individual support, I offer group counselling sessions that focus on child grief and loss, as well as social-emotional learning. These groups are offered in both private practice and school settings and are thoughtfully tailored to specific age ranges to ensure developmentally appropriate support. Groups run annually, and space is limited to maintain a supportive and connected environment. If you’d like to learn more about upcoming groups or are interested in bringing a group to your school division, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our administrative team.
Assessment Specialization:
In addition to counselling services, I specialize in comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioural (ADHD) assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. These assessments are available through private practice and in collaboration with school divisions. I view assessment as a powerful and empowering tool—one that can offer valuable insight into how an individual learns, thinks, and experiences the world. Assessments can help clarify areas of strength, identify specific needs, and guide meaningful support strategies to help individuals reach their full potential. If you’d like to learn more about the assessment process and booking, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our administrative team.
I bring extensive experience and specialized training to effectively address difficulties commonly
experienced by children and teens including:
Outside of my professional work, I deeply value connection and quality time with my family, friends, and my dog, Milo. I find a sense of peace and grounding in the Rocky Mountains and feel most at ease when I’m near open water. I'm also passionate about lifelong learning and continue to explore new developments in psychological research to deepen my understanding and enhance my practice.
I’m a proud dog mom to Milo, my energetic Border Collie-Husky mix named after the dog from
The Mask—one of my all-time favorite movies. I have a minor in Forensic Studies, fueled by a
long-standing curiosity about criminal investigations. A small birthmark in the iris of my right eye gives me a little unique flair. For seven years, I was involved in professional sports and performance as a competitive cheerleader, competing internationally in both Australia and California. I also had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Edmonton Oilers Octane Cheer Team.
